The Division of General Affairs at the University of Phayao held a Water Pouring Ceremony to bestow blessings upon the Vice President for Corporate Communications in honor of the Thai New Year tradition in 2024.
On April 29th, 2024, Mrs. Nathtida Chaawnan and a group of Division of General Affairs personnel brought Sompoi turmeric juice to the Office of the President University of Phayao. They performed a traditional Thai ceremony, water-pouring ceremony to ask a blessing from Associate Professor Dr. Direk Teeraputon, the Vice President for University Communications. This ceremony, which took place during the Songkran Festival, is a way to show respect for elders, ask for forgiveness, and wish for good health, long life, and the continuation of Thai culture and traditions.
